Deployed at Protea Medical Center: Tempe, AZ
A lobby centerpiece made up of 5 hand sculpted 16 foot long LED Vines, and over 100 LED leaves.
These LED vines are the halfway point between our consumer products and full on custom installations. They use our existing detachable Fluora LED Leaf system, but have a custom electrical system.
The design goal was to make the vines look as natural as possible, and create a serene, otherworldly ambiance in the lobby, the heartbeat of the space.
When it comes to our lighting programming, which we affectionately call “Experiential Design”, we always try and tell a story that relates to the space, brand, or person.
The name “Protea” was chosen by Brendan for its symbolic meaning—the protea flower represents resilience and transformation, and embodied the intent for the patients Brendan would treat, and heal in his space. The essence of Protea Medical center is to empower their patients to gain control of their health using natural healing techniques.
