Brain & Flowers

Brian & Flowers

Commissioned for the American Epilepsy Society Conference 2025 by UCB/Fintepla

This 8 foot tall art piece inspired by the Human Brain was for a conference an Atlanta put on by AES (the American Epilepsy Society), which brought together healthcare providers, scientists, advocates, industry, and other professionals dedicated to better outcomes for people with epilepsy.

The intent behind the artwork was to have an interactive sculpture that “bloomed” with flowers over the course of each day of the event.

With a glowing brain as the base of the installation, people could plug in individual flowers and watch them light up - a visual representation of the goal of reducing seizures amongst the seizure prone.

There are 100 flower slots for Flowers on this sculpture, and a flower can glow with one of three colors, two shades of purple, or white.
